Just had a quick look at it!  As I don’t use publications etc, I only looked at the Event Calendar/Panels etc – one thing that did strike me was that the events (LS + Tech Courses) in the Event Calendar are not in sequential date order – i.e. you have the 13 July date in between 20 May and 11 June; also the LS heading does not include the Panel i.e. AVT-123 etc but that might just because it is a test……

I have added the Activity ref in the calendar box (small but should be OK)
I have reset the order – but for some reason on Lecture Series the HFM activity in May comes at the end and I can’t work out why . . . .

Some initial impressions from a non-frequent user:

• No mentioning of the OCS;
• The header section and the category section (home, organization etc.) are visually not well separated. I like ACO’s version with the black background;
• I find the entire separation of sections/categories in the website not easy to distinguish for the eye, somewhat too fluent. Again, I kind of like the clearer structure on the ACO web-site. (I also think that NCIA’s web-site is not well made for a C&I organization);
• I find the CSO and CMRE below the newsroom a bit too small;
• Also the text for each section/category is not eye-catching;
• Why do you underline in the ‘call for paper’ section the country, the date and the activity? Is this necessary there? Why not highlight it a bit more? ( just a note as I do not use the site for this);
• Is there a specific reason why it says “OUR”?
• In the Newsroom, do you foresee changing photos? Otherwise this section would need to up-dated daily so that it is not ‘boring’ if I sign on the following day or thereafter and see the same photo again and again … (again check ACO)
• On the bottom, why is the box grey – I liked the version on our current web-site better.

I like it a lot.

One error that I’ve found: I tried to view the Panel Membership under SAS and it requested my login.  I tried to log in and I got an error.  I went back and forth a couple times and received the same error then all of a sudden, the panel membership appeared.  I couldn’t figure it out.

I recommend making the titles hotlinks as well.  For example, I can’t click on the words “Panel Membership” to go to the link – I have to click the photo.  It appears the search function is very intuitive which has been a complaint from my panel members.  Does the search function incorporate meta-data?  Is there anything that uses the UK6 Taxonomy?  I ask because Philippe said I need to update the SAS UK6 Taxonomy – is this used for anything in the database?

Finally, I recommend putting contact info for the Execs and Assistants somewhere on the panel pages.

Can’t understand why you had to log in several times – will investigate

Agree and will add this

Yes, it searches on both meta data and also in the full text of the documents

Yes, if you go to the Browse by Subject (Under Publications) you will see the UK6 Taxonomy . . . . J

It is there at the end of the Panel Membership – should I put it at the top of this list ??
I have just notices that I made a Cut/Paste error – every Panel has Dirk and Sandra listed J  I will change this obviously !!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again
