Main_Body_Multi: [CALL FOR PAPERS] HFM-334 Research Symposium (RSY) on Applying Neuroscience to Performance: From Rehabilitation to Human Cognitive Augmentation

War is one of the most challenging situations that an individual can experience, and these challenges are exacerbated by the multifaceted, changeable, and ambiguous contemporary operating space. Stress, fatigue, and cognitive workload are of critical importance when operating in such complex environment, reducing operational effectiveness, flight performance, and lead to major psychological disorders - to include post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and depression. As such, the need to deeply understand the impact of stress, fatigue, and cognitive workload using neuroscience and neuro-technologies is fundamental to enhance the soldier’s efficiency and well-being.

Therefore, the HFM Panel has opened a Call for Papers for HFM-334 Research Symposium (RSY), which aims at summarising research activities carried out on the subject to, ultimately, assess the benefits and advantages on using neuroscience and neuro-technologies. This RSY will create a platform for the medical community to learn from each other by allowing for knowledge sharing and exchange.

The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 16 March 2021 for U.S. and 30 March 2021 for other Nations.

For further information, please check the full Call for Papers on the STO Events Website, or reach out to the HFM Panel Office.
