CWIX is an annual interoperability exercise approved by the NATO Military Committee, aimed at continuously enhancing interoperability for the Alliance and hosted by the NATO Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC) in Bydgoszcz (POL). It features a Modelling and Simulation (M&S) Focus Area in which the M&S practitioners from NATO and partner countries have the opportunity to test their M&S tools and Command and Control (C2) systems identified for experimentation with other NATO member or partner countries in dedicated sessions. The MSG-193 Specialists Team carried out a testing activity of federation of simulation systems in a distributed manner aimed to test NATO standards such as C2 to Simulation (C2SIM) and High Level Architecture NATO Education and Training Network (HLA NETN) that will be possibly included as technical specification into FMN Spiral 5. In the end, all the test cases were successful, the federated simulations were interoperable. In his letter addressed to NMSG, the CWIX M&S Focus Area Lead expressed “deepest gratitude for the active and fruitful support received from NMSG” and extended special thanks to the MSG-193 representative, Dr Mark Pullen (USA) who performed the tests on behalf of the Specialists Team chaired by Mr Christian Wagner (DEU). For further information, please contact the NMSG Group .
