The SAS-IST-171 Research Task Group (RTG) on “C2 services in Multi Domain Operations for Federated Mission Networking” held its kickoff meeting virtually on 28 September 2021. SAS-IST-171 seeks a multi-disciplinary approach to identify and design the capabilities for a new generation of C2 systems to harmonize multi-domain operations. The activity objectives are to: 1) Develop concepts and requirements; 2) Design C2 applications and identify requirements for C2 agility; and 3) Design underlying C2 data model and technical exchange mechanisms that are needed to support the required C2 services and applications while sustaining a multi-disciplinary community of interest.
