Main_Body_Multi: Call for Papers: IST-195 Research Symposium (RSY) on Societal challenges for Operations in the Information Environment

NATO Science and Technology Organization (STO) Research Symposium on Societal challenges for Operations in the Information Environment. This Information Systems Technology (IST) Symposium will be held in Stockholm, Sweden, on 4-5 October 2022. The Information Environment (IE) is an active battlespace where societal beliefs, attitudes and behaviours at the local, regional and national level can have a profound impact on outcomes; impacts ever more critical and challenging in today's global landscape. The main objective of this two-day Symposium is to gain better understanding by exploring the above concepts and determining how NATO can best deal with IE threats to democracy. We also strive to develop a shared understanding of what it means to be in a ''state of winning'' within the IE. Interested authors are invited to submit abstracts before the deadlines of 15 July for U.S. and 1 August 2022 for other nations. Papers are due by 15 September 2022. For further information on the IST-195 RSY, please visit events.sto.nato.int or contact the IST Panel Office.
