Main_Body_Multi: The NATO Modelling and Simulation Group (NMSG) and the STO Human Factors and Medicine (HFM) Panel presented work at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) this month, joining Allied Command Transformation (ACT) in representing NATO.

The I/ITSEC is the world's largest training, simulation and education event, and the premier venue to observe, learn, and discuss the application of innovative technologies in training and learning environments. The theme for this year's event, held on 28 November-02 December in Orlando, Florida (USA), was "Accelerate Change by Transforming Training - It's Time to ACTT!!".

The NMSG and HFM Panel showcased ongoing work in support of training and education at a NATO stand on the exhibition floor. Briefings were presented by the following Task Groups:

"Multi-Dimensional Data Farming" (MSG-186)
"Space Weather Environmental Modelling (SWEM)" (MSG-187)
"Modelling and Simulation as a Service - Phase 3" (MSG-195)
"Modelling and Simulation in Federated Mission Networking (FMN)" (MSG-201)
"Allied Interoperability and Standardization Initiatives for Digital Twins" (MSG-205)
"Modelling and Simulation in support of Building Resilience and Refugee Flow Management" (MSG-213)
"Study, Design, Building and Deployment of a CBRN XR Training Platform" (HFM-MSG-354)

NMSG and HFM experts also presented several papers in the conference sessions and conducted two special events: one on "Synthetic Environments to Enable Multi-Domain Operations" and one on "Simulation Standards: The Path to Seamless Interoperability for Multi-Domain Operations".

I/ITSEC 2022 provided an ideal opportunity for the NMSG and HFM to share their   work with a wider community, with an eye towards bringing new experts into their networks.
