Background: As space has moved into its seventh decade of human activity, society continues to derive a wide range of societal and economic benefits, which greatly enhance the quality of life. The first satellites were designed to study the application of technology into space and the space environment they were flown. These first rudimentary platforms contributed critical knowledge and experience for spaceflight and have evolved today into great constellations of satellites in orbit. The space sector has now advanced to become a critical enabler in all facets of life, which enhances the global economy through the near instantaneous flow of information, supports environmental protection activities, and ensures strategic space capability among nations. So it is comprehensible that most space nations have space strategies how to use, enhance and protect their space systems.
