Background:
In the light of the evolving global strategic and technological environment in which the Alliance has to operate for the defence and security of our people, the NATO Science & Technology Organization (STO) and Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (HQ SACT) have updated their existing Structured Partnership in 2018. The Structured Partnership is to establish a reciprocal, mutually beneficial relationship between ACT and the STO in accordance with their respective missions. In support of achieving their goals using this Structured Partnership, ACT and the STO have chosen to sponsor mutually beneficial events. One of those events, and probably the most visible, is the NATO Operational Research and Analysis Conference, sponsored by HQ SACT since its inception in 2007, and becoming a joint event after STO became co-sponsor in 2013.
Objectives:
The aim of the NATO Operations Research and Analysis (OR&A) Conference is to bring together, in an annual event, the analysis community from NATO commands and agencies, national defence analysis and research organisations, centres of excellence, academia, and industry, highlighting the cohesion of the NATO OR&A community of interest and support its continuous development.
