Background:
Objectives: Developing of national wargaming capability in support of decision making in Defence planning and capability development, Operations and Contingency planning at all levels, and Crisis Management in near-war or war scenarios.
 
The objectives to be achieved through following steps:
 
- Identifying scope and resource availability for the anticipate wargame program.
- Training the core wargaming team leveraging available commercial courses.
- Designing a scenario set for each package.
- Identifying wargames/wargame kits to procure, tabletop or computer assisted, that fit the objectives, or develop own.
- Setting up and playtesting selected games/scenarios.
- Developing in-house training and read ahead packages for the WG packages 1-3.
- Delivering/conducting technical demonstration of the WG packages to staff courses (General Staff officers career course, Mid-management officers career course, National Defence course).
Topics: The objective of the project is to deliver wargaming capability with initial operational capability (IOC) achieved by 31 March 2026 to deliver following Wargame (WG) packages:
 
o WG Package 1: Strategic-level WG design and training package supporting decision making in Defence planning, focused on Capability development.
 
o WG package 2: Operational and Tactical level WG design and training package supporting Operations planning, focused on Course of Action (CoA) development and analysis.
 
o WG package 3: Crisis management tabletop WG/TTX supporting decision making in Crisis Management at the strategic level, focused on crises in near-war or war scenarios.
