System Considerations for Defense against Tactical Ballistic Missiles

The System Considerations for Defense against Tactical Ballistic Missiles study addressed the following topics: census of all CCMs and selection those technically affordable by Nth Nations - nations (generally small ones) that are trying to buy and/or develop tactical or strategic missiles.The type of action they can have on Defense was analyzed. Then, their impact on selected architectures was assessed. The impact of each CCM was defined in terms of Defended Area reduction and increase of number of interceptors needed. Other parameters, such as Hit-to-Kill denial, were addressed secondarily.
